Daryl A. Richardson, 66, formerly of Atalissa and West Liberty passed away Saturday, April 15, at the home he shared with his daughter, son in law and grandsons.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 21, at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty with funeral services to follow at 4:30 p.m.

Daryl was born January 27, 1957, in Iowa City the son of Ted and Kathleen (Jarrett) Richardson.

He was a 1975 graduate of West Liberty High School.

In his early years Daryl worked track maintenance at West Liberty Raceway, Liberty Lanes and for many years Richardson Plumbing.

He enjoyed bowling, dirt track racing, shooting guns, working on cars and spending time with his grandsons. He also enjoyed visiting family and friends in the nursing home, picking on his grand dog Cooper and was well known for his stubbornness.

He is survived by his daughter: Peggy Richardson Wynthein and her husband Seth of Arlington; grandchildren: Garrett and Walker Richardson, and Shane and Hayden Shaull of Arlington. He is also survived by his brother Larry Richardson, of Columbus Junction; nieces: Nicole Houghton of Le Claire; Heather Fisher of Boynton Beach, Florida; great nieces and nephews: Zoie Houghton of Le Claire, Braydon Fisher, of Montana, Isabella Fisher of Omaha, Nebbraska, and Kristen Fisher, of North English.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ted and Kathleen, brother Roger, sister in law Rosemarie Richardson, infant granddaughter stillborn at 26 weeks and a long time friend, David Johnson.
