Patricia Louise Hinz, 86, of Moberly, Missouri, died Jan. 11, in Columbia, Missouri. Mrs. Hinz was born Oct. 7, 1936, in Iowa City. She was the oldest daughter of Wilfred and Gertrude Harbit Feldman.

She attended Federal Hill Country School and graduated from the West Liberty High School Class of 1955 as Valedictorian.

She married Francis Thomas Hinz on Nov. 23, 1957, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in West Liberty.

They resided in the Davenport-Bettendorf area while Francis attended Palmer Chiropractic College until moving to Moberly in September 1964 where Francis established his chiropractic practice. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and an active volunteer for many years as Sacramental Recorder and The Parish Council Secretary and retired as office manager of Birthright in September 2003 after 20 years. She enjoyed genealogy research and family history work.

She is survived by sons, Denis and Rhonda Hinz, of Bowie, Maryland; Drs. Michael and Jessica Hinz, of Fairview Heights Illinois; Steven and Lori Hinz, of Ashland, Missouri; Christopher Hinz, of Moberly, Missouri; daughter Julie Widdis, of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren: Jennifer and Mathew Shamloo, of Peachtree Corners, Georgia; Lisa and Silvano Elizondo, of Sykesville, Maryland; Paige Hinz, of Ashland, Missouri; Kaitlyn Hinz, of Springfield, Missouri; Alex Hinz, of Redmond, Washington; Erica Hinz, of Jacksonville, Florida; great grandson, Armanno Elizondo and great granddaughter Allana, of Sykesville, Maryland; granddaughter, Kyleigh Hinz, of Ashland, Missouri; great granddaughter, Olive Joon Shamloo; sisters, Nancy Kellner and Jerome, of Livermore; Rita Brecka and David, of Waukee, and Marie Wheaton, of Algona; brother, James Feldman and Willa, of East Moline, Illinois, and sister-in-law Fengming Qin, of Cedar Rapids, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Her parents and her husband, Dr. Francis Hinz on Jan. 13, 2012, and her brothers Wilfred Feldman, Jr. and John Feldman and sister-in-law, Marilyn Feldman, preceded Mrs. Hinz in death.

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 21, from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. presided by Father Joby Parakkacharuvil Thomas, Pastor. Inurnment of her ashes was held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Moberly, Missouri, immediately after the services.
