Members of four neighboring Legion auxiliaries came to the West Liberty Legion on Saturday, Oct. 14. We enjoyed a meal of breakfast casseroles, fresh fruit and baked goods prepared by the WL unit before bagging up 150+ bags of items such as puzzle books, beef jerky, chapsticks, pens and pencils, hard candy, candy bars, crackers, granola bars, personal hygiene items and more which we will deliver to vets at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City. We also included handwritten thank you notes to our vets. Units participating included West Branch, Wilton, Durant, Muscatine and West Liberty.
