Workshops for women in agriculture

The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach service is holding two seminars for women in agriculture.

These two informal workshops for women in ag and female landowners to learn tile drainage basics, economics, and water quality considerations. Join ISU Field Specialists and enjoy a free meal, educational materials to accompany the presentations, and time to discuss questions and connect with other women.

Tile drainage workshop: This addresses good drainage design, cost and benefits. The workshop will be on Sept. 13, at 5:30-7:30pm at the Kirkwood Linn County Regional Center: Room 100, 1770 Boyson Rd., Hiawatha, IA 52233.

Water quality workshop: This addresses best field practices, and cost-share opportunities that are available. The workshop will be Nov. 8, 5-8 p.m., at the Kirkwood Main Campus in Washington Hall, Room 1048, 7225 Washington View Pkwy SW Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.
