The West Liberty High School Volleyball team rolled in their lone matchup against Camanche this week, capturing the straight set victory over the visiting Storm, 25-7, 25-7, 25-9 Thursday night before a rowdy home crowd.

The Comets moved their perfect season mark to 16-0 and are still yet to drop a set throughout their season.

The Comets conceded the first point of the opening set to the Storm before rallying off eight points to give themselves an 8-1 advantage. It was the only lead the Storm would have all evening. A few more scoring runs distanced the Comets in the first set, cruising to a 25-7 victory.

That score line repeated itself in the second set. In the third, the Comets were able to get playing time for a variety of different reserve players as they closed out the only game of the week, 25-9 victors in the third set.

Brooklyn Buysse captured 23 assists in the game for the Comets while Macy Daufeldt led the team in both kills and digs, gathering 11 and 14 respectively. Magaly Kivi also had five assists for the Comets while Sophie Buysse and Maelyn Wainwright both put together seven kills, Mylei Henderson mastered four and Brooklyn Buysse added three. Sophie Buysse also had 14 digs in the outing while Monica Morales had 13, Rylee Goodale had nine and McKenzie Akers five.

Rylee Goodale was perfect from the serving line in 15 serves including mastering three aces while Monica Morales also had a perfect night at 8-8. Sophie Buysse had eight of 10 serves while McKenzie Akers connected on 11 of 13, including an ace. Brooklyn Buysse was 13 of 14 with a pair of aces while Kylie Struck and Macy Daufeldt both were perfect in five and six serves respectively, an ace included for Daufeldt.
