The winners of the first West Liberty Chamber of Commerce Holiday Lights Decorating Contest were unveiled this week, giving local residents a chance to tour the area before the sparkle ends.
Chamber Director Stephanie Martin said there were so many “great light displays” that judges could not pick a clear winner, selecting eight local homes that will get Chamber Bucks courtesy of MidWestOne Bank in West Liberty, who sponsored the event.
Martin said the effort and creativity of all the entrants was very much appreciated. “I love when you drive through some of the neighborhoods and see so many have lights up,” Martin said. Along with the eight winners, the Chamber awarded three honorable mentions, although those homeowners did not get prizes.
