DES MOINES — The Great Iowa Treasure Hunt is preparing to release its fall publication of names and state Treasurer Michael Fitzgerald has prepared a Top 10 list of unclaimed properties in Muscatine County.
“The Great Iowa Treasure Hunt publication list is gearing up to be released soon,” said Fitzgerald. “I’m encouraging all to check your local newspaper for the list of newly added names. You can always search our entire list online at GreatIowaTreasureHunt.gov.”
In the last year, the Treasurer’s Office has received the names of thousands of individuals with new unclaimed property. The upcoming Great Iowa Treasure Hunt publication has many of those new names. Overall, the Treasurer’s Office is holding more than $394 million for past and current Iowans.
“To celebrate the Great Iowa Treasure Hunt publication, we hope the top 10 list of unclaimed properties in Muscatine County will spark interest,” Fitzgerald said. “We hope to reunite many Iowans in Muscatine County with their lost treasure. Keep an eye out for your name and the name of family and friends in the area. The search is well worth the time and effort.”
