IOWA CITY — Steindler Orthopedic Clinic has entered into a purchase agreement for 34 acres of land located on the east side of I-380 and the Forevergreen Road interchange in North Liberty, Iowa.

“This is an exciting time for Steindler Orthopedic as we celebrate 75 years serving Iowa City and Eastern Iowa. This investment marks a tremendous milestone for our organization, our team, and especially for patients who all benefit from investment in our community,” said Steindler President and Chief Executive Officer Patrick Magallanes.

“Our current main clinic sits on 4 acres; the potential for 34 acres in the Corridor gives us a canvas on which we can create something remarkable,” Magallanes continued. “Accordingly, we are developing our plans for the property collaboratively with other healthcare entities, healthcare providers, and others to create a modern and advanced healthcare development for our community,” he said.

“We continuously seek opportunities to expand our services in the communities we care for,” added Steindler Board Chairman Brent Whited, MD. “We look forward to announcing plans and partnerships that advance healthcare and access to healthcare in the corridor and Iowa.”

The purchase price was not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close later this year.
