Rotary, student groups to host work day Oct. 17

On Saturday, Oct. 17, beginning at 8 a.m., community beautification will take place in the way of sprucing up some areas around West Liberty, organized by the Rotary Club of West Liberty..
Rotary members will be teaming up with Rotary's high school Interact Club as well as the local FFA Chapter students and advisors as the groups will be planting hostas, trimming trees/weeds and laying mulch down; around the community in the several areas including in front of WLHS (outer area by library and around sign), across the street from WLHS on the gravel road leading to the city's recycling center, at Crystal Corner at the intersection of Third Street and Route 6, as well as the corner of Second Street and Calhoun,
Anyone is welcome to participate. Families or individuals interested in helping should contact organizer Gretchen Nollman at 319-541-1462.
