Public library continues to keep doors closed

The West Liberty Free Public Library will continue to keep it's doors closed to the public, although still providing services including providing books, movies and video games through the institution's on-line catalog on the library's new subsite at WLPG.org, Library Director Allie Paarsmith said this week.

The library continues to offer a lot of services on line, from book clubs to letting librarians choose books for clients or even get a digital library card.

Regarding book clubs, the Page Turners typically meet on the second Thursday of the month, with the next meeting set for this Thursday, Jan. 14, beginning at 6 p.m. with the reading of "The Downstairs Girl" by Stacey Lee.

Another book club, Booked on Crime, meets on the fourth Thursday, with the next meeting set for Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. The book "Devil in a Blue Dress" by Walter Mosley will be discussed.

Story time is held via Facebook and Youtube every Thursday at 11 a.m. Visit the library website for more details.
