Lyle Beaver, of Iowa City, will have a Polka worship service Sunday, Aug. 20, at 9 a.m. at the Nichols Christian Church located at 607 Grant Avenue.
The service contains several Polkas, opening with “Beer Barrell Polka." All songs have Christian words, even “You Are My Shine." The title of the message is “Why We Sing in Church."
Due to refurbishing of the sanctuary, come in the side door for the service, which will be held downstairs in Fellowship Hall.
