Muscatine photographer Marc Wallace, a fine art landscape photographer, will be featured beginning this Friday, Dec. 3, at West Liberty's Brick Street Gallery on West Third Street.

The photographer will be showcasing a portion of his work and available to visit with enthusiasts from 4-8 p.m. that evening at the Gallery. His wife, Angie, will also bring U-Color Cards (pen and ink drawings) as well and residents are welcome to bring their youngsters to color a card with the artist.

Wallace, who prefers a black and white photography medium, has been shooting pictures all his life, but developed a love for black and white photography in the military when he developed his own prints. He said he started off with a simple Kodak folding camera and later saved enough money to buy a single lens reflex camera in high school.

He said the military experience taught him that photography was all about light and he captures that in his photographs, which will be on display through December at the gallery.

"It is my hope that in each picture, the viewer is able to see in the Framed Photograph the intrinsic qualities and character of God," he said, accentuating his mission statement: "To accentuate light, the intrinsic qualities and character of God.”
