Nichols VBS draws 51 kids for 'food truck party' that raises $300

We, the staff, wish to thank all the parents for sharing their 51 amazing children with us this last week.  We had an awesome week.  All the children were fun, kind respectful, well behaved and energetic. They laughed, played, learned and sang their hearts out.

Every day the children brought money for the mlssion project, Open Arms For Children in South Africa.  They raised $304.23 (Wow).  We are so proud of the kids for sharing with others less fortunate.

We wish to thank those who donated mony, as well as goods to use.  The Nichols ME church for bringing and serving the snack every day (so good). Nichols St. Mary’s church for bringing the sack lunch on Friday. Parents who furnished rides to the Muscatine Aquatic Center. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dlouhy for purchasing the T-shirts. Especially a Big Thank You to Lisa Wertzbaugher, our director. And of course, all those from the Nichols Christian church who helped with decorations etc.

The theme was “Food Truck Party” on a roll with God.  The theme Bible verse was, “Give us this day our dailey bread.”

Casey’s for the treat and water, Ellie Jo Wilson for more water, and Bambi VanDyne for the cup cake snack at the pool. Thanks to the CWF women who paid the kids' way into swimming pool.

Thanks to leadersJessica Madson, Corrine Welsch, Sherry Hahn and Kay Cline; plus all helpers, Linda Barton, Mary Bender, Kathy Willier, Monica McCormick, Bambi VanDyne, Lynn Pruitt, Peggy Waite, Barb Chown and Jeannie Staley.

Thank you to all who participated.
