It was a toe tapping affair at the Nichols Christian Church on Sunday, Aug. 20.
Lyle Beaver, using his accordion and musical talents, presented a message called Why Do We Sing in Church?
The congregation joyfully participated in singing familiar songs, but with religious lyrics written by Mr. Beaver. For example, the Beer Barrel Polka tune had lyrics about coming together to worship and knowing God’s love. In Heaven There is No Beer, we sang about having God’s love near. Other tunes included Blue Eyes Cryin’ In the Rain, You are My Sunshine and Let’s Have a Party Polka, each sung with meaningful lyrics about God’s love, Jesus’s sacrifice and worshipping together.
Mr. Beaver sang a beautiful solo called Count Your Blessings. Thank you, Lyle, we were blessed to participate in your valuable message on Why Do We Sing in Church!
