Nancy N. Smith, 81, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Family services will be held at a later date. The Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty is caring for Nancy’s family.
Nancy Nadine was born Dec. 6, 1941. She was the daughter of Art and Helen Martin Neipert.
On April 4, 1965, she was united in marriage to Robert A. Smith in West Liberty.
Nancy had worked as a cook in several area restaurants and later with Louis Rich Foods and NCS in Iowa City.
She enjoyed bowling and horses; belonging to area Horse and Saddle Clubs and was involved in Trotting Bred racing.
She is survived by her husband Robert A. Smith of West Liberty; three children: Randy (Kelsie) Smith of West Liberty, Mark Smith of Fort Worth, Texas, and Annette Nadine Wilson of Des Moines; two grandchildren: Lynsee and Cheyenne; and two brothers: Cliff (Betsey Sue) Neipert of Conesville and Richard (Connie) Neipert of West Liberty.
She was preceded in death by a sister Janet Freese.
