LWVJC to host virtual forum on March 27

IOWA CITY — The League of Women Voters of Johnson County will host a virtual Legislative Forum on Saturday, March 27, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The focus is on the social justice.

The forums provide opportunities for dialogue between the legislators and constituents in Johnson County. Legislators present information about issues they are working on, as well as summaries of critical matters before their respective chambers. Sens. Joe Bolkcom, Kevin Kinney and Zach Wahls, and Reps. Christina Bohannan, David Jacoby, Bob Kaufmann, Mary Mascher and Amy Nielsen have been invited to participate.

Social justice cosponsors for the forum include the Hawkeye Chapter of the ACLU, Johnson County Affordable Housing Coalition, Iowa Shares and Johnson County Interfaith Coalition.

The forum will be moderated by LWVJC member Jeanne Bancroft; Mary Jo Langhorne will serve as the timekeeper.
