The West Liberty High School football team, after two weeks of not seeing action due to a COVID-19 outbreak, will be playing in the first round of the Class 2A playoffs at Maquoketa on Friday, Oct. 16, beginning at 7 p.m. The Comets lost to Maquoketa earlier this season in a clash in West Liberty.
