'Elf' to be presented next week by WLHS drama students

West Liberty High School's Drama Department will be presenting "Elf the Musical" on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-11, at the high school auditorium, with all shows beginning at 7 p.m.

Tickets have been available since Monday through the main office of the high school as all seats are reserved for the family-oriented show.

The production is being directed by Dorianne Rees while vocal music is being provided under the assistant director leadership of Drew Vitale while the pit orchestra is being conducted by Ashley Smith.

A cast of 22 students will take the stage on those three nights for the first time in over two years due to the cancellation of events due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The lead role is being performed by Daniel Zeman, who will play Buddy the Elf, one of Santa's elves who leaves the North Pole home and workshop to go on a journey of self-discovery.
