EICC introduces flat-tuition rate for full-time on-campus students

Posted

For the first time this fall, Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) is introducing a flat tuition rate for all on-campus, full-time students. The new tuition plan is among a number of benefits the college is providing.

Flat Tuition—Students taking 12 credits hours on campus can take an additional six hours, for a total of 18, at no additional cost. The additional six credit hours can be on-campus or live online. (Online only classes do not qualify.)

Summer Class—Students currently enrolled in the spring semester can register full time for fall and get a free summer class. Students must register for fall by June 1. Summer classes are a great way for students to get ahead, catch up or keep up, and now they can do so free of charge. (Flat tuition and summer class benefits do not include guest or concurrent students.)

Technology Resources—New students beginning this fall, and those who have been away from classes for more than a year, can also take advantage of technology benefits.

Full-time students: Laptop—Access to technology will not prevent students from pursuing their dreams; the college has laptops or hotspots available for student use throughout the semester. These technology services will be provided as long as students are continuously enrolled as full-time for fall and spring.

Part-time students Technology Package—With so many online courses requiring cameras and headsets, students do not have to worry about the expense of purchasing additional equipment. The college will provide a headset and web camera for student use as long as they are continuously enrolled as part-time for the fall and spring.

Fall classes begin Aug. 23. To learn more visit eicc.edu/flat or call toll-free at 1-888-336-3907, email eiccinfo@eicc.edu
