As of Sept. 28, people can now apply for routine service and expect to receive a passport in 10-12 weeks. There is also an option of paying an additional $60 for expedited service to receive a passport in 4-6 weeks.
These processing times apply to applications submitted by mail (renewals) and in-person at an acceptance facility. The Cedar County Recorder’s Office is open and accepting passport applications, by appointment. Please call 563-886-2230 to set up a time to meet with an agent.
