Every November, the National Education Association promotes American Education Week. West Liberty’s local Aquarius Club has been distributing boxes of cookies to each of the district’s school buildings for many, many years, to recognize their contributions to education and thank them for all they do.
This year Aquarius Club took the cookie delivery, and American Education Week to another level, by also donating several boxes of school supplies to the middle school, comprising grades 5 through 8.
School supply lists remain available online, sorted by grade level, and club members generously shopped for paper, folders, markers, tissues, pencils, sticky notes, LOTS of glue sticks, wipes and towels.
Middle school office staff were both surprised and delighted by the delivery and look forward to distributing the extra supplies in the building.
